Dugarwadi Waterfall - Behold Magnificence Of Nature


When you are travelling around Nashik, Dugarwadi is a site that you just can't miss. Near to nashik, this counts as one of the most visited places in rainy seasons. Just 30 odd km from the wine capital, it is a perfect place for a weekend getaway and is a treat for the trek lovers.

Its view is almost breathtaking and at the same time, a treat to eyes for those who want to witness the true beauty of nature in Nashik during the monsoons.

The fall is surrounded by green lush forest which adds to the beauty of the waterfall. 
Its a great place to escape from your daily routines and find some peace in the lap of mother nature.

This place is governed by the forest authorities. The frequency of number of visitors who visit this place nearly doubles when compared to frequency of number of visitors who visit this place in off seasons.
 During the monsoon season, the waterfall falls with its full capacity and is treat to watch. But mostly due to security precautions this fall is closed during heavy rains.

To reach to the base of the waterfall, we have to trek down through the green dense forest. Initially, there was no proper way to descend down but now a proper path has been prepared which allows travelers to easily reach the base of the waterfall. We have to cross through the stream that is generated by the continuous falling of water to reach to the desired base spot.


During monsoon, the mountains around are covered with fog and cloud, and continuous drizzle adds to the beauty and perfection of this lace.

This place is away from the concrete jungle that resides in the heart of nashik and is a magical place to be at. So this place is generally mostly visited in the rainy season and as its still unknow to many, it has helped in keeping the place clean and pristine.


Due to the low numbers of visitors and fewer security measures around the waterfall, it is advisable to visit this waterfall during the daytime and in groups if possible.

Also during the rainy season water level may suddenly rise which has happened in past owing to incidents with bad results and hence carrying necessary equipment is also advisable.



Although there are local stalls available near to the waterfall, it would be thoughtful if you pack your food beforehand. 'Bhutta' stall are present in the vicinity and it is advisable to have your breakfast before hand or you can carry the breakfast with you and can have it once you reach the place. Just take care of cleaning all the waste before you leave the place.

How To Reach There -

By Road - It is at a distance of 30 - 35 km Nashik and hence if you are traveling by bike or car it will hardly take 45 minutes to reach to this place as traffic is not an issue in Nashik. A local cab can be booked in order to reach here but while returning it may create problem due to lack of cabs in the area. One way to avoid this is that you pay the extra amount to the driver who will drop you there and ask him to wait for sometime and return with the same cab.

By Bus - From CBS it will take around 60 - 70 minutes. Its is a distance of 2 km from Jawahar and you can get a local bus in order to reach there.
